Web Video Screams For P2P
YouTube shows over 2 billion (that's billion, not million) videos a month. That's hundreds of petrabytes of bandwidth. According to The Mercury News, "The cost of running a site that streams millions of videos a day is adding up -- the monthly bandwidth bill alone is at least $300,000 to $400,000, industry insiders say."

This sounds like a ripe application for P2P to bring down costs. Bit Torrent is increasingly integrated into browsers. magnet links have already been used to download videos from both the web and P2P in "The Scene".

A P2P client that delivers recommended and subscribed videos, automatic uploads, and special access to viewers, and branding and reduced costs to the video site is a win for everyone.
