Warner Bros. has announced [PDF file] that it's seeking interns to to 'gather information' on P2P users for the studio.
"Warner Bros Entertainment UK is currently offering an internship to 'IT literate' students with knowledge of file-sharing networks to assist in the company's ongoing anti-piracy efforts," notes Ernesto at TorrentFreak. "The internship deals with both digital and physical piracy and among other things the applicant will have to make trap purchases and maintain accounts at private file-sharing sites."
"For £17,500 (or $26,000) per year, this internship sounds like the perfect opportunity for a student to learn about the ins and outs of copyright-and possibly get ostracized by content-lovin' peers," writes Portfolio.com's Jacqui Cheng.
"Details of the job have been posted at the University of Manchester's careers website, where it is listed as 'Anti-Piracy Intern,'" writes The Guardian's Sean Michaels. "A century ago, this would have been a position aboard a merchant navy ship: now it involves lurking in blog comments sections and on IRC chat."
