Uh-oh. Digital music weakening.

A Pali Capital report, US Digital Track Trends Weakening, reports that while paid music download sales continue to grow compared to last year, they're actually declining week to week. This contrasts to last year when weekly sales steadily rose.
This is especially Ironic as it contradicts the story told by Mitch Bainwol, CEO of RIAA in his CNET interview. "Digital sales are rising at a value that is larger than the decline in physical sales. We went through a pretty extraordinary time (recently). What you're seeing now is proof of that exercise. The promise of the digital marketplace is being realized. There's new optimism."
The reason I don’t pay for music anymore online is cause of DRM protection. When I used to pay for music I wasn’t allowed to put it on my MP3 player (WTF) and that angered me so I cracked the protection with FairUse4WM, well I payed for it and they won’t let me put it in my MP3 player.
That’s why piracy is getting worse cause of control of copyrights, Down with the copyright Laws! Whos with me!
Also control of Windows XP on 1 computer only license (what if you have a family with say 3 computers) is why people crack WPA. DRM control over music is why more and more people are cracking and sharing.
I think control of content you pay for is a disgrace of democracy and will bring down America and the copyright world.
Save America, Save the freedoms!
