Try Wuala beta

Wuala is your free online hard-disk. Use it for storing, sharing, and publishing files on the internet. Basically your P2P file share with, as the Website says, no file size limits, no traffic limits. Just get as much storage as you like for free. The idea being that you can, the way I understand the FAQ, after using the free 1GB of storage, trade some local disk storage for online Web storage. Sounds a bit risky to me, letting someone else manage my local disk storage. But then again, itsn't that what P2P is all about?

Well, get out there and try the beta over this weekend. IT will remain live until July 21, 2008 and then go dormant until the official launch August 14.

On the subject of file backup, sharing and storage …

Online backup is becoming common these days. It is estimated that 70-75% of all PC’s will be connected to online backup services with in the next decade.

Thousands of online backup companies exist, from one guy operating in his apartment to fortune 500 companies.

Choosing the best online backup company will be very confusing and difficult. One website I find very helpful in making a decision to pick an online backup company is:

    http://www.BackupReview.info

This site lists more than 400 online backup companies in its directory and ranks the top 25 on a monthly basis.
