Analysis
by Jordan Grodecki on January 2, 2008

Happy new year everyone! It's 2008, and a couple of people have compiled some statistics for you if you happen to be interested in what was shared last year.
Firstly Big Champagne, a media analysis group we have previously posted about on here, have given us some nice statistics which have been stuck up on the net over at ZeroPaid. They list the top 10 songs, movies and tv shows people downloaded last year. The top 10 songs is full of music I've never heard of, but I guess rap is still pretty damn popular. Top movies seem to say that Resident Evil: Extinction was downloaded more than far bigger and better flicks like Pirates 3.... TV shows at least seem more realistic.
mininova, the largest torrent site of 2007, have also released some stats over at TorrentFreak. Unfortunatly not showing music, these stats provide what I think to be a better insight into the piracy community, showing Transformers topping the movie charts, and Heroes and Top Gear topping the TV shows list.
Somewhat nteresting stuff indeed.
