Sweden Demands Real Evidence
The Swedish Court of Appeal ruled that a consumer's IP address, typically the only evidence provided in P2P consumer copyright infringement lawsuits, is insufficient proof of illegal activity. The rulinglinks overturned Västmanland District Court's fine of 16,000 kronor (about $2,000).

The decision leaves the detection of infringing files on the defendant's computer as the only reliable way to prove guilt.

Sweden has been covered previously in God Votes "Let My Files Go", Friends don't let friends visit Stockholm and P2Pers win in Sweden.
