According to anti-virus maker Computer Associates, SonyBMG software doesn't just add a rootkit without notice, consent, or allowing removal, it also:
- Makes itself the default media player
- Connects over the Internet to send user's Internet address and identify CD played
- damages music files converted by CDs without copy protection.

I see Microsoft has classed it as spyware and is releasing a removal tool as part of the next Windows Update. Sony need to be fined for this, it's disgusting what they've done.
