SmartWeb: P2P Literally On The Go
The intelligent car is getting a P2P upgrade. P2P is a natural fit for environments with a distributed network like cars scattered over the landscape.

The German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence showed off SmartWeb at the CeBIT trade show. Cars detecting road hazards, such as accidents, construction, and bad road conditions, pass the info to nearby vehicle. In this way the SmartWeb network can generate real-time warnings about current and local driving conditions. Drivers can be informed and detour or plan their route accordingly.
