Skyrider Raises $8 Million

Startup Skyrider has raised $8 million from Sequoia Capital and Charles River Ventures. The company was started in 2003 and spent a full year in stealth development.
The company's press release is a P2P primer. It says little about the company's product release set for this Fall. The release states that the company has a new P2P network architecture that offers integrated publishing with the web and keyword-based search marketing. Both these services are already provided in current P2P networks and clients.
Ed Kozel, CEO of SkyRider, said "We are developing a commercial grade P2P networking platform, which we will offer to other companies."
