RIAA Ordered to Pay $68,000
The Court ordered RIAA to pay defendant Debbie Foster $68,685.23 in attorney fees and costs. Previously the judge had ruled that Foster could collect a judgment, Foster had submitted a claim for over $110,000, and RIAA argued that the submitted fees were too high.

The judge found that some hours and expenses were excessive or unreasonable in trimming Foster's claims and included fees for attorney, paralegal, and expert Witnesslinks fees. The ruling includes 339 attorney hours and 28 paralegal hours that were "reasonably and necessarily" expended in litigation with an attorney rate of $175 per hour.

On a separate issue the judge ruled that RIAA would not have to disclose what it pays its own attorneys.
