RIAA Drops Consumer Case in Virgin vs. Marson
RIAA dismissed the case of Virginlinks vs. Marson. According to Ray Beckerman, RIAA dropped the case as they were "Faced with evidence that numerous other people had access to the Internet connection and/or the computer and that any of those people could have engaged in the allegedly infringing conduct."

In the same article Ray notes that the MPAA has now started consumer copyright infringement lawsuits similar to those litigated by RIAA.
