Rhapsody Raises Rates
RealNetworks is raising its Rhapsody Unlimited subscription pricing to $13 per month from $10. The pricing puts in line with most premium music and radio services.

Spokesman Ronda Scott said "This is the first price increase for Rhapsody since its launch more than five years ago. During that time, our catalog has grown by well over three million songs, we've added many new experience-enhancing features to the service and launched integrations with a number of innovative devices like Sonos and Nokia."

RealNetworks claims 2.25 million subscribers, including members of Rhapsody Unlimited, Rhapsody To Go, and premium radio and mobile customers through its acquired WiderThan business unit.
