PassAlong Stops at the MP3 Trough

Digital music distributor PassAlong Networks has jumped on the anti-DRM bandwagon. PassAlong's major label music will continue to be protected. But PassAlong's independent music inventory of two million songs will be offered in open MP3 file format links

. PassAlong powers several online stores, including Musicland and Proctor & Gamble.

CEO Dave Jaworski said "Consumers have waited long enough for the opportunity to buy songs from multiple services that will play everywhere - on iPods, cell phones and their PCs."
