PassAlong Stops at the MP3 Trough
Digital music distributor PassAlong Networks has jumped on the anti-DRM bandwagon. PassAlong's major label music will continue to be protected. But PassAlong's independent music inventory of two million songs will be offered in open MP3 file formatlinks. PassAlong powers several online stores, including Musicland and Proctor & Gamble.

CEO Dave Jaworski said "Consumers have waited long enough for the opportunity to buy songs from multiple services that will play everywhere - on iPods, cell phones and their PCs."
