P2Pnet Fundraiser Aug. 5 in Toronto
P2Pnet publisher Jon Newton was sued by Sharman Networks (owner of Kazaa) and its CEO, Nikki Hemming, in Canada. The suit threatened free speech. While it has been dropped, the legal bills remain.

Singer/songwriter Neil Leyton has written a song on the matter and organized a fundraiser concert August 5th at the Rivoli Restaurant & Club with other artists and activists. If you live in the area, come support Jon and the cause.

The Toronto Centre for Social Innovation, is hosting a pre-concert reception and discussion.

Details on the fundraiser.
