Nine Inch Nails aka Trent Reznor, has released part 1 of their new 4 part album for free via bittorrent and also via direct download from their site. It comes in high quality MP3, and allows you to sample the album before putting down any cash for the full thing.
But it's not just that that's amazing, the way the full release has been done is brilliant, for $5 (yes, $5) you can have a full CD quality FLAC lostless version to download to your hard drive, and for only another $5, you can have a double CD set sent to your door. Of course there are the Delux $75 and the super deluxe and now sold out $300 versions, but they are mainly for NIN collectors like me.
Honestly, even if you don't like the new way Ghosts has taken NIN, you should download it just to support the cause.
Ghosts.
