At CES last week, NETGEAR introduced the $199 Internet TV Player (ITV2000), a set-top box that can stream both Internet video and video downloaded from BitTorrent.
"[It] delivers Internet content like other set top boxes available today, but ups the proverbial ante by including a video search engine called 'Vtap' that combs through the associated Flash video sites, downloadable CinemaNow rentals, and even available BitTorrent files," writes Betanews' Tim Conneally.
"Its true power comes from the built-in BitTorrent client," writes Ernesto at TorrentFreak. "Millions of people use BitTorrent to download TV shows every week, so there are a lot of potential customers out there..."
The device, which is just slightly larger than a deck of cards, will be released this summer.
