Nareos, which provides a family of P2P DRM services, announced a P2P monitoring service called PeerMind, which supports eDonkey and Gnutella P2P networks.

"PeerMind(tm) provides detailed reports, online chart data and custom research based on 24/7 monitoring of major p2p networks. Nareos' PeerMind(tm) uses state-of-the-art technology to provide profound analysis of global p2p file sharing activities, categorized by media type, geography and protocols. Custom research of digital content, tailored towards the needs of various industry stakeholders, is available for purchase, answering the ever-important questions of "what is hot?" from songs, movies, audio books, computer games, ringtones, software and additional digital content. PeerMind(tm) can also produce popularity reports comparing genres (for example horror versus romantic film downloads) and also build correlation matrices by analyzing the download patterns of particular users - both services providing a clear indication of consumer tastes."
