RIAA, MPAA
by Jordan Grodecki on December 21, 2007

After the extraordinary ruling last year that Torrentspy had to keep logs of everything that users did on it's site, with a judge ruling that archives of what was currently in the RAM of servers had to be kept and turned over to plantifs, it comes as no suprise that Torrentspy has lost it's case with the MPAA. It has done more than just lose the case though, it's been accused of systematically destroying all evidence related to users actions, making the fines and possible prison sentances even worse.
Fortunatly for torrent users, as the servers are in the Netherlands, international use will be completely unaffected. Yay for that... I guess.
