MPAA spy games

Add cloak and dagger flicks to the P2P legal battle. TorrentSpy, earlier sued by the MPAA, has now charged that the MPAA paid $15,000 to a hacker to steal email and trade secrets. The hacker was hired by MPAA Director of Legal affairs Dean garfield. The MPAA has denied the claim. After obtaining the goods the thief had a change of heart and contacted TorrentSpy. There was no mention of whether he or she also returned his fee.
According to the CNET article, "Some of the information that the man allegedly pilfered included a spreadsheet containing Torrentspy income and expenses from January to June 2005, copies of private e-mails between Torrentspy employees, detailed information on the company's servers, and billing information, according to the lawsuit."
