In the past year the MPAA has targeted web sites and servers hosting unauthorized files or metadata files for the Bit Torrent and Edonkey P2P networks. The latest lawsuits extend the attacks to search engines that are similar to Google.
These search engines don't store unauthorized files. Instead they crawl and index sites that contain metadata files or links. The lawsuit targets include P2P search engines like isoHunt and Usenet search engines like Binnews.com.
