More copyright silliness: Company claims to own a color

OK, the fight over the color Orange has nothing directly to do with P2P. But it's a slow news week. ... It does share a theme of copyright and its place in our society. I agree with many that the balance has swing way too far in favor of companies over the public good. Of course whether you're suing an 82 year old grandmother for sharing files for $150,00 in "damages" per song or litigating a competitor for reverse engineering or using your color, the only winners are the attorneyslinks and the losers are the free marketplace and innovation.
