RIPL Snags $2 million

Seattle-based RIPL is a Seattle startup that combines social networking with music and photo sharing and IM. RIPL had earlier raised an angel round of $1.5 million.

CEO Bill Messing said "Sites like MySpace are about profile distribution. YouTube is about content sharing. Instant messaging has immediacy. We combine all three into a single application that supports creativity and self-expression."
