Video site Metacafe raised $30 million in a third round of funding. The company has brought in a total $50 million in capital. Metacafe is a top ten video destination with 4.6 million unique US visitors in July.
Metacafe brings two unique features to the video sharing world. First is its manual review of uploaded videos by a team of volunteers. This ensures both quality content and an avoidance of the copyright infringement issues that have bedeviled YouTube and other sites.
