INTENT MEDIAWORKS GETS SERIOUS WITH $10 MILLION

Atlanta's Intent MediaWorks raised $10 million from Greycroft Partners, SoftBank Capital, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments (BDMI), and Allen & Co. Intent provides digital media distribution via P2P and the web and pioneered ad-based media files. Intent earlier had secured $3 million in venture capital funding from the Eckford Group and previous Angel Investors, including Jack Alexander, former CEO of WorldTravel Partners, BTI.

CHOICESTREAM DOWNLOADS $25 MILLION FOR MUSIC INFORMATION

ChoiceStream is a music recommendation company based in Cambridge, MA. An unnamed investment group in Texas invested $25 million on top of an earlier second round of $13 million. ChoiceStream provides recommendations across multiple media, including the Internet, TV, and mobile, for companies such as DirecTV, AOL, and eMusic.
