LimeWire is Green Through 2008
The recording industry lawsuit against limewire has been postponed until March 2008 when the summary judgment motion will be fully briefed and pretrial discovery finished.

Justice is slow for the music industry. This is three years after the labels sent a cease and desist letter to LimeWire in 2005. There were discussions about LimeWire installing filtering similar to Kazaa. The major labels sued LimeWire in August 2006 after those talks broke down.

LimeWire's popularity has steadily increased over the past few years as major competitors have folded or converted to authorized businesses. LimeWire has captured the number one rank for P2P software with over 18% of P2P users.
