Research from BigChampange and PC Pitstop shows that Limewire has captured a huge lead as the top P2P software now that former giants like eDonkey and Kazaa have either been put out of business or forced to change their product.

The $295 Digital Media Desktop Report is published by the Digital Music News Research Group The report tracks paid download, jukebox, subscription, P2P, and BitTorrent applications. It uses actual information from desktops and not surveys.
