ISPs make love, not war, with P2P
isps are starting to cache P2P traffic in response to the increasing bandwidth used by P2P networks. The largest ISP in Thailand, True Internet, is one such ISP. Caching developer PeerApp claims the ISP's traffic has been reduced 60%. CacheLogic provides similar technology.

Caching stores recently transferred files in ISP servers. These servers are located close to the user for a relatively direct download that goes through only a few routers. In comparison typical P2P downloads may go through 7-15 routers, taking up bandwidth on each segment of the trip.
