Hollywood Loses Another Battle: FCC Overruled on Broadcast Flag

The U.S. Court of Appeals ruled that the Federal Communications Commission did not have the authority to force computer and electronics manufacturers to implement the broadcast flag. The entertainment industry would dictate how technology must be designed and used with the flag.



U.S. Circuit Judge Harry T. Edwardslinks told the FCC's lawyer the agency had "crossed the line'' and asked "You've gone too far. Are washing machines next?''
