Dutch P2P Site Shut Down

Dutch P2P Site Shut Down

The Dutch web stie dsb-tracker.org has been shut down by BREIN, a Dutch anti-piracy organization. dsb-tracker.org was a Dutch language BitTorrent site with 8,300 registered users that stored torrent files for popular movies, music, games, and software. BREIN claims to have taken down 131 sites in the past year and a half.

The site owner ignored BREIN's direct request to take down dsb-tracker.org, but then complied after BREIN contacted the ISP.

About BREIN

The BREIN foundation is the joint anti-piracy program of authors, artists and producers of music, film and interactive software; A unique bundling of forces of the entire entertainment industry in the fight against Intellectual Property theft.
