ZDNet writer David Berlind declares a Declaration of InDRMpendence. He exposes the many problems with the Trojan Horse called DRM, which he calls Digital Restriction Management, for legal file use, including consumer lack of control over media they've bought, technological lock-in, inter-DRM incompatibility, and a monoculture dominated by Apple and Microsoft.
