In a somewhat over-dramatic story, The Edge of I-Hacked is reporting on the problems customers are facing regarding the torrent blocking action that is occurring on their Comcast telephone lines.
The site suggests what is occuring is that for all bittorrent connections, Comcast are effectively answering the "call" of the torrent client and telling them there is nothing to send, or even that nothing exists altogether.
Sure, this is bad, but the way in which groups against it make it out that the company is a big evil genius is just wrong, Comcast are more than likely trying to preserve quality of service for their other users, even if it is not in the best way.

The Hacking hasn't happened to me but I have an interesting story to tell about Comcast.
I ordered Comcast TV and Internet service. The TV service was to be HD. The installer came out did his thing and left. I got my HD TV about a week later. ON front of the Comcast box the HD label was very easy to see but none of the cables they left had a proper place to fit. I called Comcast and ask them about this and was told I was given the wrong box. If I came to them with it I could exchange it for the correct one. I am disabled and do not drive or have any one to drive me around. I was informed for $16.95 they would deliver the correct box and hook it up. In a few days the installer came and hooked up my box but the reception was poor and very ghostly. He installed a device to boost the reception . It worked fine after that. ON my last bill I received a one time charge of $49.95. I call about the extra charge and was told I had to pay for the booster. It would seem that Comcast will connect you to the service they have but if you want any reception you must buy any necessary equipment needed and pay for the installation. It may be just me but I thought when I signed up for the TV service, seeing what is on TV goes along with it.
