Canada has typically been a haven for p2p, with people rarely being interupted from their sharing fun, but this looks set to change with the introduction of an equivilant to the slightly draconian DMCA. Proposals include $500 per private infringement charge, so if you shared 10 songs 1 time each, that's $5000.... and even larger if you are "making available" content online.
