A company in the UK by the name of Davenport Lyons is seeming a tad fishy at the moment... it keeps on sending out letters to people who have supposedly downloaded, or uploaded games via bittorrent, and is demanding money, or making threats as to what will happen.
They seem, however, to be entirely incapable of making any of these threats reality, with many people just recieving more and more letters saying that they will be taken to court, but no action actually taking place.
Perhaps it's because the detection system they use is known to be flawed and has previously identified a printer as uploading content, and as such would never stand up in court?
Good on those users who are standing up to poor legal threats.
