While the Net Neutrality discussion rages on, the reality is that ISPs have long given different treatment to various kinds of data, depending on its source, type, and funding. Bit Torrent P2P traffic takes up from 30 to 60% of all Internet traffic.
Some Internet service Providers (ISPs) are already controlling Bit Torrent downloads. Check the Bad ISP chart to see if your provider is there (most are outside the U.S.), what actions they limit or prevent, and what you can do about it.
