Attorneys Fight For Students
RIAA has entered a new stage in its fight to tame wild college students. In addition to suing students directly, it's pressed the school themselves with limited progress to restrict access to P2P networks.

ohio University is one of RIAA's successes. The college banned P2P on campus. Athens, Ohio law firms are fighting back. Joseph A. Hazelbaker and Jonathan Sowash of Sowash, Carson & Ferrier served notice on Ohio U that they demand the University protect its students' rights. They will hold the University accountable if it does not.

Meanwhile attorney Joseph Hazelbaker will defend students. He said "I have a soft spot for these David vs. Goliath battles and an interest in helping people facing a bully - which I view the recording industry project (to catch file-sharers) as being." His fees will depend on individual students and their situations.
